It’s your mama’s birthday today. You give her strength. You give her hope. You are the best gift she could ever ask for. She hopes you’re a gift of grace to this fragmented world.
This is my story, shared in the hope that it would help us to investigate and reexamine the birth of some of our priorities.
We know we are one in Christ. But the knowledge of those truths does not eradicate the hardship of living them out here on earth.
This is not a complete apologetic on black hair care — but I hope it is helpful in spurring on this continuing conversation.
God put chestnuts, chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, and pecans all under the same roof just because he’s creative like that. He sees the diversity of brown skin and loves it.
